Over the next 20 years, renewable energy is predicted to be the fastest-growing energy sector, consequently making it a prime investment opportunity.
It is expected that global energy demand will grow by more than a quarter by 2040. This will be two-thirds of global energy production.
Most of this growth is expected to come from developing economies. This will allow emergent, sustainable technologies to gain hold, expanding global energy access as a result. All the while building a foundation of low carbon emissions and efficiency, with global climate goals in mind.
This includes not only solar power, wind farms and electric cars, but also scaled infrastructure for carbon capture, utilisation and storage.
